Numbers Up! Volcanic Panic v1

You and your party have just crash landed on a volcanic island, only to discover that the volcano is active and about to erupt. The race is on to reach the one and only Escape Pod that will take one passenger off the island before the volcano erupts. Discover the best route, use the right gadgets and answer all the math challenges to be the one to ride away to safety!

With over 7,500 questions across 26 carefully-sequenced levels covering Preschool through Grade 8, students will all face questions that will challenge and stimulate them.

Overview

Numbers Up! Volcanic Panic is all about learning, practicing and using number facts in a challenging, strategic board game environment that covers numeration, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals & percentage, ratios and more.

Like any great board game, Numbers Up! Volcanic Panic allows for multiple players so children of all ages can join in the fun. The difference with Volcanic Panic is that everyone plays at their own level. With a library containing over 7,500 questions across 26 levels, each player will face math challenges that will challenge and stimulate them.

The Scenario

  • You have crash landed on an active volcano island - and it's about to erupt! You need to escape in the jet-powered Escape Pod, but there's only one - so it's a race against other players and against time!
  • With a little bit of luck and some sneaky strategy, you can be the one who grabs the most fuel and gets the Escape Pod! The other players have to try their luck in the inflatable boat...
  • So roll the dice, earn credit to buy fuel and gadgets from the Shop - and use your gadgets to slow down the other players.

  • Things get interesting when in the Gadget Shop. Players can choose from 10 gadgets that let them do sneaky things to other players. Steal fuel from another player, swap positions on the board, protect yourself from other players' gadgets, triple your dice roll, and more... Use them to your advantage but watch out because your rivals have the same gadgets!
  • Math activities are customized to each players' individual level so that questions are appropriately challenging
  • Players can be assigned the most appropriate level for themselves and compete against up to three other players, each at their own levels, with anyone having a chance of winning!
  • Content can be customized for individual players to practice specific levels or categories of math questions
  • Elements of chance and strategy within the game mean that anyone can win - not necessarily the best mathematician
