Copy Your Music, Photos and More!

XPlay expands what you can do with any iPod, including the iPhone and touch, and a Windows computer. From copying music off your iPod to copying photos on, XPlay fills in the holes giving you more power to manage your music, photos and more.

Not an application, direct access
XPlay 3 has always given you direct access to your iPod, meaning when you plug in your iPod it is listed as a drive on your system. Now that power is added for iPhone and iPod touch users. There is no application, no middle man to get in the way. Simply click on your iPod and start organizing.

Can't we all just get along?
XPlay also believes in cross-platform harmony. XPlay includes MacDrive technology enabling you to use both Mac and Windows formatted iPods with any XP or Vista computer. You also get management options. While XPlay is the perfect complement to iTunes, XPlay also makes it possible to use your iPod with Windows Media Player or Vista Media Center.

Copy music off your iPod

Having all your music on your iPod is amazing.
Having all your music backed up on your computer is even better.

XPlay makes copying your music from your iPod to your computer a painless task, giving you peace of mind knowing that music is safely backed up on your computer.

Backup up one song or all of your music as easily as if you were copying any other file on your computer. Simply drag-and-drop your music from iPod to your computer, or select a song and press CTRL+C and CTRL+V to copy and paste the selected files.

Do you have more than one iPod?
XPlay makes it possible to transfer music from one iPod to another. Simply plug in both iPods and drag music from one to the other or right click and select the "Send to" option from the menu.

iPhone and iPod touch

Looking for more access to your iPhone and iPod touch?
Well now you have it.

XPlay gives iPhone and iPod touch users drive letter access, meaning you can access your phone and touch like any other disk. Go to "My Computer" and your device will now be listed. You can now browse everything and even copy music off your iPhone and touch.

As an added bonus you can now use your iPhone and touch as an external drive. Copy any file directly to the phone or touch and transfer that file to another computer.

XPlay can copy music and video off iPhone and iPod touch, but cannot copy to the iPhone and iPod touch for playback.

Use Windows Media Player

Not a fan of iTunes?
Wish there was a way to use Windows Media Player?

Now you can.
XPlay integrates your iPod with Windows Media Player 11 giving you the power to manage your music and photos with more than iTunes.

Thanks to XPlay, your iPod will appear as a Portable Device in Media Player making it possible to sync your music and photos.

Send music to iTunes and WMP

Do you use iTunes or Windows Media Player to organize your music library?

XPlay can help you populate your library by making it extremely easy to transfer or sync your music from your iPod to your library.

To send songs directly to iTunes or Windows Media Player, simply right-click a song or group of songs. A context menu will appear giving you options to send your music to iTunes, Windows Media Player or other areas on your computer.

XPlay will also allow you to sync items from Windows Media Player and Vista Media Center.

Mac or Windows

Windows just got a little smarter.
  • Thanks to built-in MacDrive technology, your Windows computer can now access both Windows and Mac-formatted iPods.
  • It doesn't matter which you prefer, Mac or Windows, XPlay makes it possible to use either.

Photos

Looking for a way to actually manage your photos and not just sync?

XPlay gives you full control over your photos, making it possible to move single photos as well as multiple photos on and off any iPod including the iPhone and touch.

Click on the Photos folder and you can see everything on your iPod. Open the "Photos" folder and you can view "All Photos" on your iPod, or individual "Photo Albums". To add your photos simply drag them into either folder or open the albums folder and drop pictures into a specific album.

Wish it was even easier? Just right click on any photo on your computer and you can "Send" that picture directly to iPod.

XPlay also gives you the option to save full-resolution photos on the iPod to move to another computer or view on a larger monitor.

Need a little space on your iPod? You can open the "All Photos" folder and view photos that are currently on your iPod, and remove photos to increase space.

Playlists

It is important to have the right mix of music for the right time, so we have made it incredibly simple to create playlists.
  • To create the perfect mix, right click the song or songs you want in a playlist and select the "Add to Playlist" option from the pop-up menu.
  • You can quickly create a new playlist or add songs to playlists that are currently on your iPod. Either way, making your own mix is just a click away.

System Requirements

Windows Vista (32-bit), or XP (32-bit, SP2 or newer), with Windows Media Player 11. iPhone/iPod touch require iTunes 7 (or newer).
