NETS Information
- NETS stands for National Educational Technology Standards
- Developed by ISTE – International Society for Technology in Education
- Used by all but two states (Montana, Iowa) as reference or adopted for technology
standards for students, teachers, and administrators. (NETS*S, NETS*T, NETS*A)
- Developed from the belief that technology education needs the same type of
standards as Math, Science, Reading, etc.
- Standards also include performance indicators as a way to measure the student’s
abilities to reach these standards at various grade levels
