Camtasia Relay has two components, recorder and server. Recorder captures audio, on-screen activity, and keyboard/mouse input, and runs on Mac or PC. Server handles processing and publishing, and runs on Windows Server 2003.
Camtasia Relay is meant for easy recording, by multiple presenters, with automatic production and publishing. If you need the editing step, add Camtasia Studio to the mix.

Create a video or audio account of your lecture, presentation or meeting in three easy clicks. You just choose a profile, enter a title and description, and click the big red button to start recording. Production is handled by the server, so there is no waiting around when you are done.
When the recording arrives at the server, profile [?] Profiles are setup by the Camtasia Relay administrator, each profile consists of record, produce, and publish settings so the Camtasia Relay server knows what to do with each recording. settings are applied, producing the recording into one or many formats.
Each format is published to a destination. The destination can be any media server [?]A media server is simply any device that stores and shares media. Viewers will connect to a media server to access Camtasia Relay recordings. Some examples include: iTunes U, Screencast.com, and web servers., including: iTunes U, Screencast.com, Blackboard, a website… and others.
