Optimum Resource, Inc. Stickybear Spelling- Stand Alone Hybrid

In Stickybear Spelling, children ages 6 and up discover and practice critical spelling skills as they work with three unique, action-packed activities, each with four graded levels of difficulty. The program is open-ended and teachers may edit the word lists for each individual. Stickybear Spelling contains more than 2,000 recorded words. With thousands of words at multiple levels, this program provides an engaging and flexible way to improve spelling skills.

Levels may be set to allow students of different ages or abilities to compete effectively. Select Level allows users of varying ages and abilities to work together.

All lists, names, and levels may be customized. Children build sight vocabularies, spelling, and memory skills as they spell words. Each of the activities provides unique spelling practice.

Activities include:

• Stickybear Bee, a true spelling bee, allows up to four players to compete for the highest score. Stickybear asks each user, in turn, to spell a word.
• In Stickybear Bash, children develop spelling skills, build sight vocabularies, and practice listening and hand-eye coordination. Teacher options make customizing easy. Each player, in turn, is asked to click on the moving fish to select the correct order of letters for the spoken words.
• Unscrambling skills provides the energy for exciting action in Stickybear Jumble, an engaging solve-the-word activity. Students increase their ability to recognize hundreds of high frequency words, and are rewarded with specific animations.

• Windows: Pentium II or higher, 32 MB RAM, Windows compatible sound card recommended. 8x CD-ROM drive or greater.
• Macintosh: PowerPC, System 9x, 32MB RAM, 256 colors or greater, 8x CD-Rom drive. OS X users, titles will run on systems which support OS9 Classic.
