READING EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

WRITING ACTIVITIES
Reading Journey includes Writing Assistant: An easy-to-use, full-functioning word processor, designed for young children which includes templates and digitized instruction for activities in a special "guide window." There are three Writing Assistant activities for each title, including, Writing About Words, Writing With Pictures, and What Do You Think?
READING GAMES
- Concentration: In a matching game format, children match words-to-words, words-to-pictures, pictures-to-pictures, and audio-to-words from the book.
- Zap: Children select correct words that fit into sentences about the book in a reading comprehension game activity.
- Spelling Connectables: Children spell key words from the book by assembling jumbled letters into the correct spelling.
