3dChor Kids from Animated Communications
3dChor Kids - Animation software for grades 2 and up. Students choose characters, give them commands and paths to move on. Attach photos to a clown, bird, dinosaur and children.
Animations enhance retention and keep up interest
The best use of animation is to use it sparingly: The students look forward to the next one
Use animations as introduction to subjects. Use them as metaphors or comedic examples.
Animations can reduce the level of formality in a classroom, enhancing dialogs and student participation.
Using photo heads on a 3d character is a way of introducing staff without being stuffy about it.
Use images like backgrounds that are familiar to your students. They will relate to it and it will increase acceptance of speaker and subject.
Design is a simple four-step process
Click on CAST to choose from a library of characters. Actors are defined in all three dimensions.
Click on COMMAND and watch the actor take a bow, do a somersault or raise his right eyebrow. Create a script by selecting the commands for the actor to perform. Hundreds of actions bring the actor to life. Add what you need to tell the story.
Click on PATH and draw a path for the actor to follow.
Click on ANIMATE to create the movie. The final designs are rendered as AVI files.
