InstaGate Gateway Anti-Spyware
At the Gateway eSoft combines signature matching, intrusion prevention and web filtering techniques to detect and prevent Spyware from infecting the network, whether delivered by web, email or other delivery mechanisms. Infected computers on the internal network are also detected and blocked from sending private data to Internet collection sites. Proactive security at the gateway stops new Spyware infections, prevents confidential data from leaving the network and eliminates resource drains that result from reactive measures of constantly scanning and cleaning each computer on the network.

Adware, Spyware, Trojans, and Keyloggers are detected and stopped by the Gateway Anti- Spyware SoftPak. Using deep packet inspection (DPI) Gateway Anti-Spyware looks at web pages, downloads, attachments, and active content such as ActiveX and Java Applets to detect and block Spyware infections before they get to the unsuspecting user's computer.
Anti-Spyware also uses URL filtering to block access to known Spyware sites distributing intrusive advertising, pop-ups, keyloggers, and Spyware programs that infect computers through embedded installs, drive by installs, and browser exploits. The database of Spyware sites also stops infected computers from sending gathered data to collection servers and logging sites. Gateway Anti-Spyware blocks access to all Spyware protocols that try and evade proxy and firewall security measures.
A statistical graph and summary keeps IT managers informed and aware of Spyware that is blocked for a current status or for reports to upper management. Detailed reports and analysis tools allow them to find infected clients on the network and see the top Spyware threats that have been blocked. Policy controls allow the administrator to set security policies according to the threat level and flexibility to control policies for specific Spyware signatures, URLs, and IPs.
