Dollars & Sense: The Lifestyle Series 2009
This series includes five comphensive software titles that help teach your
students the ins and outs of living on their own. You get the five titles outlined below: Cars, Clothing, Food, Housing and Insurance.
Dollars & Sense Cars 2009
You get all the Dollars & Sense activities, plus The Auto Store — a simulation in which students will shop at four dealerships, compare the costs of leasing and buying, compare financing and even meet the loan officers to complete their loan. They’ll even compare insurance rates at four agencies.
Dollars & Sense Clothing 2009
You get all the Dollars & Sense activities, plus Fads and Fashions — a simulation in which students will view clothing in a variety of stores and buy what fits their needs, tastes and budget. As they shop, the program will create a summary of what they bought in each store, what it cost including sales tax and if they paid with cash or credit.
Dollars & Sense Food 2009
You get all the Dollars & Sense activities, plus Eating Smart — a simulation in which students must eat three meals a day over a one-week period. They can eat at home or at dozens of restaurants from fast food to fine dining and stay within their budget or they'll find some surprises along the way.
Dollars & Sense Housing 2009
You get all the Dollars & Sense activities, plus For Rent and For Sale — simulations where your students will learn what it takes to buy or rent a place of their own. They’ll view available properties, compare financing and shop for homeowner’s insurance. When they’ve made their choices, they’ll close the deal by signing the lease or the mortgage.
Dollars & Sense Insurance 2009
You get all the Dollars & Sense activities, plus Getting Covered — a simulation in which students have to choose the correct types of insurance for the real-life scenario they're assigned. Will they buy the right protection for the emergencies they'll be facing?
