Assess students based on Standards
With the state and national emphasis on skill-based assessment, the #1 requested feature from Easy Grade Pro users is a way to record and assess performance by standards.
With v4.0, you can...
- Add your school's or state's standards to a grade book either directly or through the use of distributable plug-in files based on grade-subject level standards.
- Create unlimited rubric scales (i.e. Exceeds Standard - 4.00, Meets Standard - 3.00) to be used for recording and reporting performance.
- Add assignments and link up to ten standards to each for independent assessment.
- Utilize two separate charts for entering and viewing standard data: 1-Student, 1-Assignment (pictured).
- Have overall standard grades calculated using averages (not percents), using the Power-law formula or manually.
- Set alternating row colors in all charts to improve readability
- Have the background of score cells automatically colored to indicate student attendance marks on the dates that match the assignments' dates
- Scroll through rows and columns in all charts using the a mouse scroll-wheel
- Have scores auto-filled in the score chart when attendance codes are entered in the attendance chart (i.e. 'ab' entered on an assignment when a student is marked absent in the attendance chart)
- Enter up to two different email addresses for each student.
- Generate internet password for students automatically
- Have report paper orientation and size saved between print jobs
- Have classes re-combined automatically whenever changes are made to prior-term classes
- Have backup grade books automatically saved to your Documents folder (or some other location of your choice) to ensure that, if the worst happens, your data are secure

- Easy Grade Pro 4.0 can also convert older gradebooks. So, if you have an Easy Grade Pro from an older version (3.0, 3.5 or 3.6), you'll be able to continue using it with V4.0

Drop more Scores
Although Easy Grade Pro 3.6 allows dropping of the most damaging score, v4.0 allows the dropping of multiple 'most-damaging' scores overall or by selected categories. Like v3.6, v4.0 uses a unique method that ensures the maximum benefit for each student.
Add Extra Credit more Easily
V4.0 makes it easier to add extra credit by offering the option of an Extra Credit category with a use-definable maximum value.
Calculate and report GPA
Student GPA (grade point average) can now be calculated per class and across multiple classes in a grade book and then included in paper, web and email reports.
Enter Scores directly into Seats
Easy Grade Pro has always allowed the entering of attendance into seats. With V4.0, you can enter attendance and assignment scores into seats. Choose any date and enter attendance. Choose any assignment and enter scores. Choose the date for the assignment and see who was absent that day while entering scores.
Print reports with greater Control and Ease
- Reports might be the most important part of any grading program. That's why most feature-requests from Easy Grade Pro users have been for new options to control the look and content of reports.
- V4.0 offers dozens of new report options from general options like setting the color scheme, title, date and student-name format to report-specific additions like GPA and Standards.
- Despite the new options, V4.0 makes it far easier to set up reports because of a completely new interface that allows access to all reports, all options and a report preview from a single window. Without leaving the window, you can switch reports, classes, students and options and preview the new report instantly.
Email and post reports on the Internet with Ease
Like the new Print Reports window, V4 includes a new Email/Internet window that allows you to view your HTML reports as you set your options before posting on the web, emailing or uploading to Edline.
