Each Discover!Science CD has up to 200 screens with curriculum-aligned narrated text, brilliant photographs or illustrations, many narrated interactive demonstrations, puzzles, mini-games and virtual labs, plus tons of video clips-many of which are also narrated. The text has two levels with readability scores of grades 6-7 and 9-11. Included in the text are hundreds of highlighted words and phrases that link to pop-up windows to enhance the learning experience. Research appendices and a 2700-word glossary are also included. The comprehensive content is correlated to national and state standards-in fact, many of our products have been adopted by Florida, Texas and several other states.

Each Discover!Science CD includes an amazing 3-D Virtual Laboratory in addition to the 2-D virtual labs found in the interactive multimedia tutorial component. The 3-D Virtual Laboratory is used like a video game, so learners will be quite familiar with the basic structure and game-like action. It includes a lab bench, samples, instruments, and tools to formulate hypotheses, conduct experiments, measure and collect data, and then analyze results from tables and graphs. The lab can be taken to other planets to perform experiments under different gravity conditions, or (soon) will be able to go outside to interact with their home planet's environment. You will receive the latest version, and a free subscription to new labs developed over the next 12 months after your purchase is included in each purchase.

Each Discover!Science CD has a 20-30 minute in-depth narrated video documentary in addition to the dozens of video clips within the interactive multimedia tutorial component. The video documentary is chapter indexed to assist assignment of specific topics.

Each Discover!Science CD has quizzes and test banks. There are 5 questions (true-false or multiple-choice) for each main chapter for each text level. Students are offered a second try on the multiple-choice questions. Their scores and number of tries are recorded and available for teachers to examine. The test banks are text documents on the CD that include these 5 questions plus 5-10 previously unseen questions. You may select, mix-and-match, or edit as you see fit. Answer keys are available via password.
