Meet Andrew, Kevin, Jocelyn and Samantha – four young people with some important financial decisions to make concerning their budgets, their credit and their transport
Andrew has taken his first full-time job, but he must decide what type of transportation to buy for his daily commute, how to pay off a serious credit card debt and how to begin saving for the future. Kevin is having trouble keeping up financially with his high school friends. They have their own cars, their own credit cards and the money for cell phones, clothes and entertainment. How will he decide to balance money, friends and school activities? Jocelyn keeps having more month than money and has to decide whether to fix her car or buy a new one, how to borrow to help pay her bills and whether or not to look for a second roommate or move back home with her parents. Samantha is moving to the city and must decide if she wants to keep her car, if she wants to live alone or share an apartment and how best way to buy furniture on credit. As Andrew, Kevin, Jocelyn and Samantha explain their situations, your students can discuss their options and decide what to do before seeing what actually happened. Will your students make the same decisions or disagree?
