Stickybear Typing Workshop from Optimum Resource
Students build or improve typing and keyboarding skills with this teacher and user-friendly typing instructor. Students develop accuracy and increase typing speed with more than 30 leveled lessons in each of 3 different activities. Teacher record keeping for assessment. The Typing Workshop program from Optimum Resource MiddleWare allows users ages 9 and up to sharpen typing skills and achieve keyboard mastery with three multi-level activities which progress from letters to words to simple and complex sentences.
Users can view accuracy and speed results and the program teaches proper hand position for correct touch typing.
The program allows teachers to select from 30 levels of difficulty for each student and to allow automatic advancement. Sound, hand position, audio and background music can be toggled on and off. Bold graphics make it easy for users to learn or improve typing skills!
Activities include:
- Keyboarding, for beginners or experienced typists, allows typing practice from the simplest drills in home key position to complex exercises that require the full keyboard.
- Laser Tag builds typing skills in a fast-action format. Letters and words must be typed quickly and accurately. Users see their scores and typing ability improve.
- In Text, users can practice and improve typing facility with interesting material in a choice of categories. Hundreds of facts and stories are presented. Timed practice or an accuracy mode can be selected. Users may test themselves for timing and for accuracy and the program tracks progress and keeps records.
Typing Workshop provides immediate feedback to let users know how they're doing. Users automatically move to higher levels as they complete exercises. Teachers may tracks students' progress and print reports for assessment.
