Provides short non-fiction selections designed to improve specific reading skills: main idea, vocabulary, sequence, factual recall, inference, and drawing conclusions. After an assessment, students work on specific skills or learn in a mixed practice format. They receive help and contextual feedback throughout. Scores are kept in a record management system that enables teachers and students to monitor independent learning. The questions, answers and explanations of the program can be spoken aloud. Designed for students in grades 5 through 11 (ages 10 and up), the software can also be used by English language learners and adult students.
