2Connect is a concept mapping and planning tool which will help children organize their thoughts individually or collaboratively on a network. It's a simple way to put ideas on a page! (KS1, KS2)

2Connect acts as a concept mapper, but is much more. In creating the concept map, clipart and recorded sound can be added. The software runs across a network allowing the possibility for children to all be contributing at the same time, with a measure of control by the teacher. Once created, a 2Connect file can become a word bank to support writing with any word processing program. Children can click on words to include in their document and, where sound has been added to an idea, listen to a recorded voice as needed.
2Connect is an exciting teaching tool not only for collecting and structuring ideas but to act as a word bank to support sentence writing. Teachers can use the program to collect ideas for story writing, ascertain prior knowledge at the beginning of topics, assessing knowledge at the end of topics and to set up problem solving activities.
