- Strengthen reading and writing skills
Students grasp essential mathematics concepts using visual math tools that combine the hands-on learning power of manipulatives with computer interactivity.
- Build conceptual understanding in math
Kidspiration offers valuable support for ELL and ESL students with enhanced audio capabilities, an expanded and searchable symbol library and the Kidspiration Word Guide.
The Kidspiration visual workspace is designed specifically to inspire K-5 students to think creatively and organize ideas to write, comprehend and communicate successfully across the curriculum.
- Kidspiration works the way students think -and the way teachers teach!
Connect visual thoughts with written expression- Students create graphic organizers by combining pictures, text and spoken words to represent thoughts and information in Picture View. With a simple click they switch to Writing View and connect these visual thoughts to words, expanding their ideas into written expression.
- Integrated Picture and Writing Views
Visually express thoughts and ideas- Students use keywords to search for the right image or graphic in the Symbol Library, and create symbols with familiar drawing tools to convey meaning and personalize thoughts and ideas.
- 3,000+ searchable symbols and the Symbol Maker drawing tool
Make important literacy connections- Longer recording times encourage students to express and document their ideas. Teachers enjoy greater flexibility when recording instructions and comments. Students use the Listen tool to hear any text read aloud, strengthening word recognition and comprehension. For ESL and ELL learners, teachers can record instructions in native languages to enhance student understanding.
Visually categorize and group ideas- SuperGrouper shapes offer students a visual way to sort, group and classify ideas. With the new Kidspiration Math SuperGrouper, students show their math problem solving visually.
- Kidspiration SuperGrouper
Quickly engage students in learning- Activity templates, standards-aligned lesson plans, teacher tools and training support help teachers use visual learning successfully, right from the start.
- More than 150 classroom-ready cross-curricular resources
Understand essential concepts in math- Kidspiration’s new Math View helps students explore and master the core conceptual foundations of counting, place value, computation and geometric thinking. They build number sense, spatial reasoning and an understanding of the meaning behind the

Now Kidspiration extends the proven principles of visual learning to mathematics. Combining the hands-on learning power of manipulatives with all the added benefits of computer interactivity, Kidspiration’s new Math View helps learners build a strong mathematical foundation to understand math concepts.
- New Math View builds conceptual understanding in math
With five visual math tools, Kidspiration focuses on the core conceptual foundations of counting, place value, computation and geometric thinking. Students build number sense, spatial reasoning and understand the meaning behind the four basic operations while communicating their thinking with words, numbers and math symbols.
Students use Kidspiration Color Tiles to count and compare, explore properties of numbers and operations and develop computation strategies. With Kidspiration Color Tiles, students learn to solve area and perimeter problems and model number patterns and the four basic operations.
Students use Kidspiration Pattern Blocks to investigate the properties and attributes of shapes through composition and decomposition. They produce patterns and tessellations, explore similarity and congruence, experiment with symmetry and represent fractions.
- Kidspiration Pattern Blocks
Students use Kidspiration Base Ten Blocks to understand place value and strengthen number sense. With Kidspiration Base Ten Blocks, they count, compare, group, partition and create equivalent representations of whole numbers and decimals. Kidspiration Base Ten Blocks also introduce students to procedures for operations on multi-digit numbers.
- Kidspiration Base Ten Blocks
Students use Kidspiration Fraction Tiles to compare and order fractions and to understand equivalent fractions. They find common denominators, translate between improper fractions and mixed numbers and model basic operations with fractions.
- Kidspiration Fraction Tiles
Students use Kidspiration Fraction Boxes to represent fractions visually to build a strong conceptual foundation for future work with fractions. Students compare, order, simplify and find equivalent fractions. They use Kidspiration Fraction Boxes to model basic operations with like and unlike denominators. Kidspiration Fraction Boxes also introduce students to improper fractions, mixed numbers and representing word problems.
