RealDrums are live audio drum styles that replace the MIDI drum track with actual recordings of top studio Jazz/Rock/Country drummers! These are not "samples" of single drum hits; they are full recordings, lasting from 1 to 8 bars, playing along in perfect sync with the other Band-in-a-Box or PowerTracks Pro Audio tracks. For example, choose a brushes style, and you will now hear lush Jazz brushes, exactly as you'd hear if the drummer was in the room with you. The results are dramatically better than MIDI drums. They sound like a real drummer, because they are recordings of a real drummer. Adding a real instrument to the mix makes all of the Band-in-a-Box and PowerTracks MIDI parts sound more authentic. As well as improved drum sounds, you are hearing the exact rhythms played by the drummer, including features seldom heard in MIDI such as subtle drum rolls, variations in ride cymbal taps, and complex fills.
A RealDrums dialog within Band-in-a-Box allows you to set whether you want to hear RealDrums with all styles, no styles, or somewhere in between. You can also choose specific RealDrums styles to play with any song. In PowerTracks Pro Audio the RealDrums will play in time with the current tempo setting. You can choose the style of RealDrums to play with each track and use multiple RealDrums tracks within one song. In either program it’s simple to add fills, style variations, rests, shots, and pushes to your arrangement.
RealDrums add an exciting human element to your Band-in-a-Box and PowerTracks Pro Audio arrangements, but that's just the beginning. They can be used for all kinds of recordings. Record the live audio output of RealDrums through a mixer, or export RealDrums tracks as wave files for use with most popular audio programs. And remember, you can program RealDrums to play fills, shots, pushes, rests, and pauses as well as tempo changes and variations in playing styles. You'll want to use RealDrums in all of your recording projects... and you can!
RealDrums Set 1 is included in the Pro version of Band-in-a-Box and the basic PowerTracks Pro Audio package.
RealDrums Sets 1-3 are included with the Band-in-a-Box MegaPAK for Windows and the PowerTracks Pro Audio PowerPAK.
All of the RealDrums Sets (1-20) are included with the Band-in-a-Box SuperPAK or UltraPAK, and with the PowerTracks Pro Audio PowerPAK Plus or MultiPAK.
