Math Pathways: Grades 6-8 from Sunburst Technology
Guided by NCTM, a teacher-guided, self-paced, curriculum and standard-based math learning tool that creates a learning environment in which students can explore, visualize, and appreciate mathematics.
Introduces and instructs students in major mathematic concepts utilizing a pathways methodology in which students are explained core mathematic concepts and then build on these concepts in their understanding of more complex mathematical problem solving. Guided by NCTM and designed as a teacher-guided, self-paced, curriculum and standard-based learning tool, Math Pathways creates a learning environment in which students can explore, visualize and appreciate mathematics. The unique combination of 3D animation and exercises will ensure all math students acquire necessary conceptual understanding and computational skills to achieve high school standards.
With Math Pathways students will:
- Learn concepts and then build upon these concepts using various pathways that converge and build upon each other such that retention will be far greater than the traditional rote memorization method of teaching mathematics
- Gain deep conceptual understanding through full curriculum content, visual and auditory components, and carefully selected interactive experiments and assessments
- Improve computational skills through procedure demonstrations and practice modules, as well as interactive multiple choice exercises
- Develop problem solving skills through a specially designed environment
With Math Pathways teachers will:
- Possess a full curriculum and standards-based learning environment, featuring interactive elements that hold students’ attention
- Access an online tool which allows them to self guide students through middle and high school major mathematical concepts
- Illustrate math concepts and their applicability to “real world” situations

Sunburst Licensing & Versions Definitions
Single/School-User Version
Includes one disk or CD-ROM and a teacher's guide. You receive a license to install the program on one computer at a time. Teachers and students may use the program from home or other school-approved off-site locations.
Network License
Includes an unlimited site license on a single file server for use on interconnected computers at one school site. A Teacher Guide is included. You may purchase stand-alone CD-ROMs for the network title at $10.00 each. These CD-ROMs carry a School-to-Home License.
Lab Packs and Site Licenses
Includes a specific number of CD-ROMs, the license to run the program on the same number of computers at one school site or home, and a single copy of a printed Teacher Guide.
School Unlimited License
Completely installable programs contain one disk or CD-ROM, one Teacher Guide and the license to install the program on an unlimited number of computers in the school community.
