New Spelling Game Show Challenge!
One contestant, 2 players, or the entire class can test their skills in Bob Treebark's newest game show challenge. Select one of six spelling levels or add your own words. Score points for correct answers after Bob says or flashes a word to spell. Student records are kept and a special focus list of troublesome words is maintained for each student.
The Summary page displays how each student or team has performed at each of six spelling levels and within custom, teacher generated lists. When using Class Files, results can be viewed for the latest session, the last 5 sessions, or students' cumulative work. Choose to see scores as right/total, as a percent correct, or as a letter grade. Note that the grading scale for letter grades may be established from the Teacher Module.
A Focus list is maintained for each student. This list contains the latest words (up to 20) that have been missed by that individual student. By clicking on the number in the focus list column, you may view the specific words which a student has spelled incorrecly. These words may be printed for use as study aids. When selecting word lists under Options on the menu bar, you may select Use words from the Focus List. These words with which students have had trouble will then be included during subsequent lessons. When words are presented and spelled correctly, they are removed from a child's Focus List.
