Grades 4-8. The Great American States Race has it all - Race to identify states, their capitals, and numerous other facts depending on level of difficulty selected. The student may select either timed our un-timed, level of difficulty (3 levels), and choose sessions of 6,10,16 or 50 states in random, or may choose a region (6 regions); 1 or 2 players. Students must first identify the state by its location on the U.S. map, and then identify its capital (multiple choice). Depending on the level selected (Amateur, Pro, or Legend), additional questions are asked. Amateur is state and capital only. Pro level is Amateur plus three other state fact questions. Legend level is Amateur plus six other state fact questions. Pro and Legend levels also get a chance at a randomly-presented bonus trivia question. Includes voice instructions and reinforcement. On the left hand side of the screen is a map of the United States with the mystery state highlighted. On the right hand side of the screen you will see that same state enlarged. Correct answers advance. Incorrect answers are given a second try. A great exercise to reinforce this key U.S. Geography information in an engaging manner.
