How the West Was One + Three x Four takes your students back to the Old West for an exciting race down the number line to Red Gulch!
Students' skill with numbers and operations really takes off in this rough-and-tumble race through the Old West. As students race down the number line, they learn to construct and solve arithmetic equations. In the process of the fun game, students develop or reinforce skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, negative numbers, the use of parentheses, order of operations, and problem-solving.
Students can choose to race each other, race computer opponents, or work cooperatively. Special race features, including shortcuts and bumping opponents, encourage students to look for different possibilities when constructing equations. Students can ask for hints and compare completed moves to discover optimal moves.
Students can review past performances to improve their problem solving strategies for future games. Players can print detailed reports of their performance.
