Sound Beginnings is a superb interactive CD-ROM designed to encourage vocalization through exploration and skills-building exercises. It is designed for use with Early Years children and with special schools and speech and language therapy units.
Sound Beginnings develops basic awareness of the dimensions of speech such as volume, inflection, pitch, breath control and the presence or absence of voice. Teachers can select appropriate sounds, words and phonemes for individual pupils, and view each pupil's user record. There is also the facility to import your own pictures in one of the activities.
