The Techni-Kids Series is an educational program designed to teach upper-elementary and middle-school aged children the foundation of technology including Internet safety, e-mail, how a computer works, computer networking, and more!
Children today are immersed in technology. While they know how to install software and play games on computers, most of them don't have a strong understanding of how it all fits together.
The Techni-Kids Series serves as a complement to any Computer Lab Class, Technology Elective, and Before and After School Program.
The program includes Student Workbooks and Teacher's Guides for each lesson. The Teacher's Guides allow educators to incorporate or develop unit plans involving many core subject areas (math, science, language arts, etc.) Students can use the workbooks for future reference material.
Future book topics will include:
- How Cell Phones Work
- How To Perform Research on the Internet
- How to Use Microsoft Word
- What's Wireless?

Digital Demons - Scary Things on the Internet There are many dangers on the Internet, and kids need to know how to protect themselves from these scary things. Digital Demons discusses topics such as Chat Rooms, Instant Messaging, On-line Strangers, and more!
This Techni-Kids book also includes a Parents' Companion Guide pamphlet, and Internet Safety Contract for parents and children to review and sign together.
Parents today need to know what their kids are doing on-line. Even though children are sitting in their own bedroom safe and sound, they could be in danger! |
How Do Computers Talk to Each Other? How Do Computers Talk to Each Other?
This book in the Techni-Kids Book Series teaches children about computer networks. Networking is becoming a very important skill to learn.
Many homes today have some type of high-speed Internet connection (DSL or Cable Modem) and there is also more than one computer in the home. It only makes sense that those computers and resources would be networked. |
The Guts of a Computer teaches students all about the insides of a computer with the various components being compared to the human body. There are the lungs (fan), brain (memory chips), stomach (hard drive), eyes (monitor), and much more.
The Teacher's Guide uses small and large group activities to explain technical concepts through methods that relate to the students' daily life. |
