BuildYourOwnAssessment gives you the ability to create multiple question formats, including: Yes/No, True/False, Single Choice, Multiple Choice, and Essay. Additionally, partial credit is supported for answers. Regarding administering the assessment, your options are to have the students take it online, or in paper format. Paper assessments can be scored by either entering the student choices into the "Quick Score" screen or, in an effort to allow educators to work offline, a spreadsheet can be populated with the student responses and uploaded to the system for mass scoring.
In an effort to make BuildYourOwnAssessment an assessment tool for learning, not just an assessment of learning, special feedback functionality has been built into the system. You have the option of providing students feedback on their choices either immediately after they make them, at the conclusion of a section of the assessment, or at the conclusion of the assessment!
