Q: What is the Adobe Digital School Collection?
A: The Adobe Digital School Collection includes software and resources for teaching and learning 21st century literacy, problem-solving, and communication skills across the curriculum. The collection includes Adobe Photoshop® Elements 8, Adobe Premiere® Elements 8, Adobe Contribute® CS4, Adobe Acrobat® 9 Pro, and Adobe Soundbooth® CS4 software, as well as a Teacher Resource DVD. The collection enables photo-, video-, and audioediting as well as web publishing. The collection includes documentmanagement and portfolio-creation tools for enhancing learning experiences in language arts, history, music, and the sciences. The Teacher Resource DVD includes ready-to-use lesson plans, tutorials, and tips and tricks.
Q: How do I purchase the Adobe Digital School Collection?
A: The Adobe Digital School Collection is available only through volume licensing. The collection can be purchased through CLP or TLP volume licensing agreements offered in the Adobe Volume Licensing 5.0 program for educational institutions. To find an authorized Adobe education reseller, visit:

Q: What is included in the deliverables?
A: Deliverables include education licenses and software for Adobe Photoshop Elements 8, Adobe Premiere Elements 8, Adobe Contribute CS4, Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, and Adobe Soundbooth CS4, as well as a single copy of the Teacher Resource DVD. The DVD includes project-based activities that encourage active learning and motivate student participation in class assignments. Educators get lessons, tutorials, tips and tricks, and video lesson examples. When purchasing Adobe Digital School Collection licenses, you also must purchase at least one media kit DVD containing all software and resources.
Q: Can I purchase a single copy of the Adobe Digital School Collection through the Adobe online store?
A: No. The Adobe Digital School Collection is available only through volume licensing, but you can purchase single licenses through TLP or CLP.
Q: Does the Adobe Digital School Collection qualify for points under Adobe Volume Licensing 5.0?
A: Yes. The Adobe Digital School Collection qualifies for 150 points under the Adobe Volume Licensing 5.0 program.
Q: Can a higher education institution (college or university) purchase the Adobe Digital School Collection?
A: No. The Adobe Digital School Collection is available to K–12 schools and districts only.
Q: Can I install the products that are part of the Adobe Digital School Collection on multiple computers?
A: Each Adobe Digital School Collection license gives you rights to install the programs on one school computer.
Q: Does my Adobe Digital School Collection license include homeuse rights?
A: Yes. Each Adobe Digital School Collection license includes installation rights for one teacher-owned home computer—provided the installation is used exclusively for teaching purposes related to the teacher’s employment with the school district (such as lesson planning, classroom preparation, and so on).
Q: Can I purchase Adobe Digital School Collection software for school and/ or home use on non-school-owned computers?
A: Schools may only purchase Adobe Digital School Collection software licenses for school-owned computers.
Q: Can I purchase additional Teacher Resource DVDs?
A: Additional Teacher Resource DVDs can be obtained through your authorized education reseller. The DVD content is also available for free download at:

You may also make copies of the Teacher Resource DVD and distribute them to educators who need them.
Q: Does Adobe offer on-site training for using Adobe Digital School Collection software?
A: Yes. Adobe—in conjunction with Knowledge Network Solutions (KNS)— offers one- and two-day workshops that give teachers hands-on experience using Adobe Digital School Collection software. Q: Can I purchase an Upgrade Plan for the Adobe Digital School Collection?
A: Yes. An Upgrade Plan is now available for the collection. With the Upgrade Plan, you are assured of access to Adobe upgrades for the Adobe Digital School Collection during the life of your Upgrade Plan—all at a single cost for the collection.
Q: Does Adobe offer an upgrade price if I currently own a license for a previous version of the Adobe Digital School Collection or own one or more licenses for products that are part of the Adobe Digital School Collection?
A: There are currently no upgrade paths from previous versions of the Adobe Digital School Collection or any of the individual products.

Q: Can I utilize the Adobe Digital School Collection for netbooks?
A: Currently, the only application that is fully compatible with most netbooks is Photoshop Elements 8. Adobe is working on making additional applications netbook-compatible in the near future.
Q: Is The Adobe Digital School Collection available for Macintosh?
A: No. The Adobe Digital School Collection is available for Windows® only, but educators may purchase licenses to individual products that are available for use on the Macintosh operating system.
